At CAUSEBOOK, our vision goes beyond creating notebooks. We're crafting spaces for mindfulness, where each product is designed to awaken your senses, with vibrant colours and carefully selected materials that feel great in the hand.

Our Legacy

Our legacy in the publishing industry began in 1933 in Athens, Greece, when our grandfather, Spiros Linardatos, crafted his first notebook. His dedication to creating quality books has been upheld by the Linardatos family in Greece across generations.

A notable chapter in our history was during WWII, when our family’s printing presses were repurposed for a cause beyond the love of books. In those challenging times, Spiros felt the need to print and distribute underground newspapers, supporting the resistance against occupation.

The importance of recognising and committing to the right cause not only enabled the Linardatos family to thrive in the Greek publishing industry but also, as the name reveals, served as the inspiration for the creation of CAUSEBOOK.

Our Story

After years of working in the tech industry in London, Emmanuel Linardatos, Spiros's grandson, found himself yearning for a deeper cause. He observed how the relentless pace of technology and society could disconnect us from our true selves. To find his way back, Emmanuel embraced mindful practices of handwriting and short pauses from screen time, reigniting his contentment, clarity, and creativity.

It was during this period of rediscovery that Emmanuel met Julia, a colleague in the tech industry, who spent her upbringing in the Swedish nature and since moving to London, she had not yet found her tech-life balance.

Together, in 2024, they launched CAUSEBOOK, a venture inspired by their journeys and shared appreciation for pausing through handwriting.
